Block-iterative algorithms

چکیده
The recently presented sequential unconstrained minimization algorithm SUMMA is extended to provide a framework for the derivation of block-iterative, or partial-gradient, optimization methods. This BI-SUMMA includes, and is motivated by, block-iterative versions of the algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) and its multiplicative variant, the MART. The BI-SUMMA approach is designed to provide computationally tractable and quickly convergent algorithms. The rescaled block-iterative expectation maximization maximum likelihood method (RBI-EMML) is closely related to the RBI-MART, but is not a particular case of BI-SUMMA. Weights in block iterative methods
In this paper we introduce a sequential block iterative method and its simultaneous version with op-timal combination of weights (instead of convex combination) for solving convex feasibility problems. When the intersection of the given family of convex sets is nonempty, it is shown that any sequencegenerated by the given algorithms converges to a feasible point. Additionally for linear feasibil...

Blind source separation of instantaneous MIMO systems based on the least-squares Constant Modulus Algorithm
Blind symbol detection for mobile communications systems has been widely studied and can be implemented by using either adaptive or iterative techniques. However, adaptive blind algorithms require data of sufficient length to converge. Therefore, in a rapidly changing environment, they are likely unable to track the changing channels. In such a situation, one possible solution is to use iterati...
متن کاملBlock Algorithms for Quark Propagator Calculation
Computing quark propagators in lattice QCD is equivalent to solving large, sparse linear systems with multiple right-hand sides. Block algorithms attempt to accelerate the convergence of iterative Krylov-subspace methods by solving the multiple systems simultaneously. This paper compares a block generalisation of the quasi-minimal residual method (QMR), Block Conjugate Gradient on the normal eq...
متن کاملISAR Imaging Based on Iterative Reweighted Lp Block Sparse Reconstruction Algorithm
Sparse signal recovery algorithms can be used to improve radar imaging quality by using the sparse property of strong scatterers. Traditional sparse inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging algorithms mainly consider the recovery of sparse scatterers. However, the scatterers of an ISAR target usually exhibit block or group sparse structure. By utilizing the inherent block sparse structur...
